[The weather was getting colder, this fact had not been lost on Xzana. It worries her in fact slightly. The time for hibernation would be here sooner than she'd like and the animal population of the forest was no where near good enough to support a dragon who's preparing for it.

So she slinks into town. Deciding to give the free food thing another try. No raw meat is safe from her great hunger. She tries the market first and it doesn't take her long to find the meat section. Only the "skin" on the meat is nothing like she have ever come across before. BLECH! The plastic gets stuck between her teeth and in her throat.

After a bit of coughing and hacking she spits it up.] THIS MEAT HAS BEEN TAINTED!

[Finding very little else that interests her or she recognizes as being edible (even the bread was covered in taint!) she'll give Seventh Heaven another try. She managed to find food there last time.

Only she still feels the need to fill her stomach. So the bakery is next on her list, while that bread isn't "tainted" a dragon needs more than bread alone. She'll just follow her nose. Trying to find food that isn't guarded by humans and hopefully isn't cooked she can be spotted all around the village.]

Plastec? Why would someone put something you cannot eat on food! That is foolish! This food is not really free as I was told if it is a trick!

[Holds up a hand.] Calm down.

[Bends down and pokes a hole in the covering to toss her some meat.] Here, try it now, eh?

It's to wrap it up so it stays fresh longer. Like a magic newspaper. [Or whatever isn't used to cover your food.]

It's still free, just covered up like that so humans can take it home to eat.

What is newspaper? I have never heard of that spell before. [But you fixed the meat! YAY! Nom nom nom!]

[Laughs.] It's paper they print, rather, write, the daily events on for people to read. Kind of the journal, but broader.

With this stuff... you know what bubbles are, right?

Yes, I know of bubbles. My litter mates and I use to try to create them when we were younger. [Can't blow bubbles very easily after all when you don't breath air.]

Okay. This wrapping is like the covering of a bubble, eh? It keeps what's inside it fresher and safer, sealed from air or bugs, but you can't eat the bubble wrapping itself, because it's not food. You're lucky you didn't choke on it, or completely swallow it.

Is it bad if I did? [Because she totally ate some.]

I think humans can survive a little bit of it, it's not super poisonous just obstructive, but it's more dangerous for birds. [Like him.] Know anything about the anatomy of dragon guts?

Antomy? [That would be a major no. More so as with changeling dragons their organs tend to not stay put very well.]

If you get sick, I'll take you to see a doctor. Right now though I'm going to assume however much you ate will be fine and come out naturally, but try not to eat anymore, eh?

That doesn't seem like a good idea. If you get sick, please promise to tell me instead, otherwise you might just fall into a coma or something.

In Luceti, healing doesn't always work right. There's healing spirits here, but my flames aren't as strong in that sense, and other people have had this problem too.

[Hesitates, because he truly doesn't know enough about medicine, dragons, or the ingestion of plastic wrap. He wants to send her to the doctors just in case but maybe she's afraid of doctors.] I mean it, eh. It could have some bad magic involved. If you get sick, just go talk to the healers, okay? Some of the have healing magic if nothing else.

[She snorts. This is annoying.] I am fully grown and can care for myself.

But even he had to have nurses and takes meds sometimes. Being full grown and an adult means knowing when to use an added resource, not being a stubborn kid about it.

Water nymphs need only water. My mother was born as those attuned to water, and so am I. I will be fine in my sleep.

But this isn't something you've dealt with before, so you don't can know how it will affect you until it's too late.

If I am too weak for water to heal, then it is my time to die.

Ah... no... don't say that. The Malnosso do some cursed things. That's not you becoming weak, that's them cheating.

Then that means that I am weaker than they and my time has come that my flesh belongs to them to grow stronger.

No. Because if you die, the Malnosso will just bring you back with some sort of penalty like having your wings clipped.

There are healing spirits in this world for a reason. At minimum, talk to someone who can use Nala well or something, okay?

Only those who are most wise and needed are granted the gift of a second lifetime.

This world doesn't play by the same rules.
