[The weather was getting colder, this fact had not been lost on Xzana. It worries her in fact slightly. The time for hibernation would be here sooner than she'd like and the animal population of the forest was no where near good enough to support a dragon who's preparing for it.

So she slinks into town. Deciding to give the free food thing another try. No raw meat is safe from her great hunger. She tries the market first and it doesn't take her long to find the meat section. Only the "skin" on the meat is nothing like she have ever come across before. BLECH! The plastic gets stuck between her teeth and in her throat.

After a bit of coughing and hacking she spits it up.] THIS MEAT HAS BEEN TAINTED!

[Finding very little else that interests her or she recognizes as being edible (even the bread was covered in taint!) she'll give Seventh Heaven another try. She managed to find food there last time.

Only she still feels the need to fill her stomach. So the bakery is next on her list, while that bread isn't "tainted" a dragon needs more than bread alone. She'll just follow her nose. Trying to find food that isn't guarded by humans and hopefully isn't cooked she can be spotted all around the village.]

[It's not really hard to notice the young lady just waltzing into his kitchen. Sanji follows right after.]

Can I help you with something?

I am looking for the free food. [The long limb, blue scaled girl pays Sanji little mind as she keeps looking around the kitchen and sniffing. And yes, that is a very stained and tattered new feather dress she is still wearing.]

Oi, if it's free food you want, I can serve you back in the dining room~!

[Um, my goodness. Sanji takes a look at that dress and winces slightly, partially out of confusion. His first guess is that she's brand new, but the state of that outfit points to another conclusion]

Dinning room? The meat is in here.

Maah, well... That's true.

But the way restaurants work is the chefs make the food, and then bring it out to the customers.

[Huh, has she never been in a place like this before?]

I do not need help. I know how to find food. [Said as she continues to sniff around. The last time she was here someone was making hamburgers. They must keep the meat somewhere. Oh! There's a door!

She pulls on the handle to the oven. Hopefully Sanji didn't have anything cooking.]

[He'd really hoped it wouldn't come to this, but there is something in that oven - and it's not for her. >_>

He puts his hand on the oven and closes it right back up. Sorry, but a kitchen is one place he stands pretty damn firm.]

My sincerest apologies, Miss, but that's for another customer. [To his credit, he does sound sorry.] This place is only for chefs, but rest assured I'll bring out whatever type of meat you want!

[Luckily she doesn't protest too much at Sanji closing the oven. That thing felt hot. She doesn't feel like dealing with hot. Hm, but lets see if this human really will do as he says.]

Fish.

[That's totally enough info right?]

[And Sanji immediately brightens once it seems she's not going to protest. Excellent, he can do this thing for her!]

Right away, Miss-- oh, but what type of fish do you want? [He scoots back over to the fridge, poking his head in] We've got salmon, tilapia, trout, sardine, catfish... Just name it and it will be yours~!

[Ah-ha! That is where the food hides! She'll make a note of that for later, for now her mouth is drooling over all the different fish he has.]

Salmon! [Salmon is always a good choice! Always her favorite when she can catch a female full of delicious soupy eggs.] And tilapia! [She doesn't know what that one is, but she wants it!]

Do you have any big fish? Like the kind that live in the ocean? I want that! [She's heard stories of giant fish that live in the ocean. Where eating just one can satisfy a dragon's hunger all day long.]

He pulls out the fillets in the order she demands them in, first the salmon and then the tilapia. They're placed on the counter with the intent to cook them, but ha, what does Sanji know?]

Well, I might have some Seaking meat in here... they're not technically fish, but they are pretty damn big. [Of course, they're not housed in the refrigerator, either. Sanji just as the fillets]

[Huh, what did he say before? Something about suppose to wait in another roo-

Ah, hell with it! The fish is right there! Going to another room just to eat it is silly. With her stomach rumbling Xzana wastes no more time once the fish hit the counter and Sanji lets them go. He was giving them to her after all, right? She grabs the salmon and sinks her teeth right into the soft under belly.

Ah! At last! Meat that was not tainted!]

[As long as Sanji doesn't mind the low, rumbling growl that admits from her throat as she chews and devours the fish. Bones and all. The growl is nothing personal, just a long time habit of eating with greedy litter mates.

[She finishes off the salmon before talking. Even dragons know not to try to speak with a full mouth. You could waste food that way! She reaches for the next fish as she speaks.]

I do not understand why humans ruin their food by setting it on fire. [And into her mouth goes the head of the next fish.]

That's because our bodies can't process raw meat. We'll get sick if we don't kill off the bacteria in it first.

[The fish disappears. Very tasty, but no eggs. That was disappointing.] Bac..ter...ia?

Eh... think tiny, invisible bugs. Only a lot more dangerous if you're not careful with them. [He rubs his chin, muttering to himself]

Then again, there are plenty of dishes with raw meat in them... it just depends on the type and how fresh they are. But our stomachs aren't as strong as yours is.

I do not know how humans have survived so long. [Weaklings. But that's not important. What's important is you said you had some other type of food. More fish too.

She tries to move so she can see into that box thing better.] You said you have some ocean food?

Aa - it's that right there. [Holding open the fridge door, he points out a large... tentacle.

Yep. It's seaking meat to be sure, diverse though that species is, and this one apparently had quite a few limbs on it]

That's a fish!? [Having lived her whole life in fresh water lakes and rivers, tentacles are a little new for her.]

Not exactly. [Her exclamation sends a smile on his face] But it's a type of creature that lives in the ocean back on my world! Seakings are considered delicacies.

[No surprise, when running into one usually means certain doom]

De-li-cac-ies? [She practices the word on her tongue. Having never heard it before as she reaches out a claw to poke at the strange thing. A bit nervously - what if it's still alive.]

[That tentacle is definitely dead, and is merely squishy.]

Delicacies! [He repeats the word and lets her poke] Just a fancy word meaning people like it. [Well, that's simplifying the issue, but Sanji figures this lady wouldn't care all that much about definitions]
