[Xzana was finally convinced that the sudden and strange influx of humans was really done and began emerging from the bottom of the lake more and more. Between feeling less crowded and the heavy rain she is in a remarkably good mood.

She dances in the rain for a bit and climbs a few trees. Then finally checks out that strange book that is always following her around. She had been told it was magic, but being unable to read it's never been something she cared much about. That is until she realized it talks! Listen to all the different voices!

Huh, but then the voices pause. She gives the book a shake. Huh, how do you get this silly thing to work. She drops it on the ground and bats at it. Managing to turn the video function on by mistake. She bounces back and forth for the camera in the rain. Prodding the book now and then.]

Talk magic book! [She circles the book, waiting for it to respond.] Speak again! [She gives it a gentle shove before jumping back a bit and running from it a bit before coming back.] Are you tired, book?

[Today she is full of energy and wanting to play. She'll be in possibly the best mood if anyone feels like braving the heavy rain and spot her playing with the book near the lake.]

Hm, I will have to find a safe place to keep all of this then.

Shouldn't be lacking in those. Shelves, bags, desk drawers, all that. Never heard anybody wanting for necessary furniture since I've been here.

I have none of those things. Perhaps I could find a good tree with lots of cover from the rain.

That would be quicker, wouldn't it? [ It's no wonder Sherlock tells him he's not observant. ]

Hm, or maybe I could bury you deep underground. [That's totally how you treat books nicely right?]

Oi, don't bury it! It's hardly gonna grow into a better book from that. [ sometimes people must just be offended for inanimate objects okay it's life. ]

I'm sorry! I'm sorry! I won't bury you then! I just thought it might keep you safe during the winter.

I like to hope it's a little sturdier than your average acorn. Not that keeping these things safe is a bad idea, mind.

I've never taken care of a living book before. Do you have any suggestions how I may best take care of you?

Ah, let's see. Keeping the pages dry, keeping it above ground, keeping it close in case you need something. Same way you'd take care of a non-living book, mostly, I'd imagine.

I haven't really had to care for any books before. I am sorry you have found a poor keeper.

Don't worry about it, I can be a bit rubbish myself.

How can a book be rubbish? You do not have hands to rub things. Are you even able to move?

Rubbish is just another way of saying terrible is all. Wouldn't put it past the things to move somehow. Seems like they're always turning up or turning on when they're not wanted.
