[Xzana was finally convinced that the sudden and strange influx of humans was really done and began emerging from the bottom of the lake more and more. Between feeling less crowded and the heavy rain she is in a remarkably good mood.

She dances in the rain for a bit and climbs a few trees. Then finally checks out that strange book that is always following her around. She had been told it was magic, but being unable to read it's never been something she cared much about. That is until she realized it talks! Listen to all the different voices!

Huh, but then the voices pause. She gives the book a shake. Huh, how do you get this silly thing to work. She drops it on the ground and bats at it. Managing to turn the video function on by mistake. She bounces back and forth for the camera in the rain. Prodding the book now and then.]

Talk magic book! [She circles the book, waiting for it to respond.] Speak again! [She gives it a gentle shove before jumping back a bit and running from it a bit before coming back.] Are you tired, book?

[Today she is full of energy and wanting to play. She'll be in possibly the best mood if anyone feels like braving the heavy rain and spot her playing with the book near the lake.]

[Out of respect for a certain human, House 55's camping trip has been postponed until the rain stops. The dreary weather has made Don melancholy, though, and he finds himself needing to get out of the house for a while and sort through his thoughts.]

[Before he knows it, his steps have taken him all the way to a hill overlooking the lake. Someone is down on the shore - Don can't tell what they're doing, but it looks like fun.]

[He stands in the rain, making no move to seek shelter from either the downpour or from being seen.]

[Don is more than welcome to watch as the girl continues to make up her own little games. She's in a good mood and not paying too close attention to her surroundings.

As he watches this girl in her old, slightly torn and tattered (and see through!), new feather's dress is clearly not human. The second set of large white wings, claws, and blue scales being the biggest dead give away. However as he watches he may also notice that her limbs, ears, eyes, and mouth are slightly larger than most human type creatures.

Not to mention, besides her hair and dress, she's not getting wet at all.

Of course this can't last forever. At some point in her frolicking, Xzana finally catches sight on Don out of the corner of her eye and freezes.

Has he seen her? Xzana isn't exactly afraid of Kappas as she thinks she's staring at perhaps a half breed, as he doesn't look right, but she doesn't feel much like a fight right now. So she freezes, seeing if this demon will leave her territory or if she'll have to defend it.]

[At this distance, and with the rain pouring down, it's hard to see the subtleties of Xzana's movements and expressions. When she stops moving and looks at him, Don's thoughts are along the lines of good, she's seen me, now I'm not sneaking up on her.]

[With that thought and the friendliest of intentions, Don starts walking down the hill towards Xzana.]

[Xzana tenses slightly, unsure of the Don's intention. The Kappa wasn't charging as many she had dealt with before, but it was still coming closer.]

This is my lake, Kappa. [There are a few things Xzana wouldn't mind sharing the lake with. Possible demons are not one of them.]

[That's something Don hasn't been called in a while. He slows to a stop and raises his empty hands. See, he's friendly.]

What do you want?

[An excellent question. He'll try not to get metaphysical about it.]

I'm walking. Thinking.

Thinking? [ABOUT STEALING A LAKE?]

[He may be a ninja but he's not THAT good.]

[A shrug. He doesn't particularly want to share his thoughts right now.]

You were... gaming something?

Gam...ing...? [Give her a minute. Human speech isn't her first launage and some words are a bit strange.]

You mean play? Yes. I was having fun.

[It isn't his either.]

I was trying to get the magic book to speak again.

[Jumping on it is an interesting method.]

[Don makes a small beckoning gesture - can he help?]

[Gesture does not compute. What do you want? Such a weird Kappa.]

[Hm.]

The book. Yes?

This is my talking book. I was told it was for me. [MINE!]

[He has no desire to steal your journal, really.]

[He didn't exactly mean to say it needed to be fixed. He struggles to find the right words.]

[Now that Xzana is closer, Don has noticed several interesting facts about her, and he can't help mentioning one.]

You don't get water.

I get lots of water. Do you not know what I am? [You sir, are a lame Kappa if you can't see a half breed water nymph. Or so she thinks.]

What kind of Kappa are you that you cannot see a half breed water nymph in front of you!? Were not raised among kappas?
