[Once more the Malnosso had changed her. She hated it when they did that. She still wasn't sure how, but it was frightening to be so small and vulnerable again. More than that it left her thinking of her home and family left behind. How were they doing? Were they all alright? She knew they must be. She was just one dragon after all. The world back home would not stop turning without her.

So why did she ache as she thought about her home now?

She tried to distract herself. Moving around the different community buildings as she would need to move back into one soon. Winter was coming and she did not want to sleep through it with the Malnosso about. She visits the grocery store where she'll help herself to some of the raw meat that is there. It doesn't taste as good as the stuff she catches, but it will do again for winter.

Yet, her mind keeps falling back towards her home. How lucky she was that her body adapted well to the changes she went through growing up. Not all born with mixed blood was so lucky. Her mind spent a lot of time focusing on her mother too. Is this what the humans called homesickness? It's awful and she decides to pull out her journal to find out how they dealt with it.]

Those who miss your homes in this world. How do you fix it?

[After some time walking around town she'll be heading back to hang out near the lake.]

[She raises an eyebrow.] I am surprised humans live as long as they do, if even living can drive them crazy.

It's doing nothing which can make you go nuts!

Then they should return to hunting rather than going to that building and having their food handed to them. Hunting keep the mind and body prepared for the challenges of life.

It's not like people don't have their own challenges too.

Then they should not be bored as you say they are. Is this not correct?

I don't know what I said anymore! All I'm saying is that it's sort of nice to do stuff which is just goofing off and lazy!

Hm. Then why not say that? Why do humans have so many different words to say the same thing?

I was not raised human and have not had much time among them. I find them many a time to be needlessly complicated and confusing.

I am not so certain even humans understand everything that they do.

Nah, probably not! I mean, there is a lot of people doin' their own things.

I do not think I shall ever understand humans or that I wish to understand them.

Aw c'mon, understanding a little could at least help you relate to some people here.

Understanding how these humans act and think will not make them become my family. They are human and I am not. That can not be changed. [Except by the Malnosso, but she just misunderstood what he meant by relate.]

I'm not askin' you to be their family, family's a whole different thing. I'm saying you should probably be thinking about getting friends.

Hm. Friend I could possibly do. So long as they are sensible humans. [Because some of these are humans are cray-cray.]

There are plenty of things to do. [Like hunting! And sleeping! And catching fish! And eating! And more hunting!]
