[When Xzana awoke the first thing she realized was that she was NOT in her lake as she should be. The new clothes didn't phase her as she was too busy trying to figure out what happened to all the water, then there was the discomfort to her back. Reaching back she found something was attached there! What was going on!?]

Who did this!? What sorcery is this!? Come out!

[Scared and confused Xzana does what she thinks is the smart choice and pulls. Wanting the offending thing OFF of her. At the sound of the snap the comes and the pain that quickly follows tell her right away what a bad idea it was. She snaps her head back in a roar.]

RWWRRRRRAAAARRRRH!

[The half breed dragon stumbles towards town. Her small Luceti broken wing dangling at an odd angle between her large pair. She growls under her breath as she searches for water, hoping to keep any creature who may find her an easy meal right now away, as she blindly stumbles her way around the edge of town.]

(OOC: Warning, as she's injured her flight or fight is on high alert. She WILL attack any character that just rushes up at her. Approaching her slowly will be fine, just know she'll bite if someone gets in her personal space too quickly. Also don't be afraid to break time and space in this post!)

[No equipment, only her earlier studies of avian anatomy and what one of the other physicians have sorted out by way of their connections to the human body for any sort of reference, and her hands.

This could go very poorly if she is not careful. For a moment she considers Nala- but remembers easily enough this woman's earlier reaction to the idea of a human with magic. Best to do without.]

I will.

[She's still slow to approach, and settles on the edge of the fountain behind the winged woman. Sitting half in the water to get a better look at the break.]

...I would like to touch the wing- to feel out where the break is at it's worst.

This will sting- and I am sorry for it.

[Careful, so very careful to keep her touch light as she reaches out to brush where the wing looked to be most awkward. It seems to be a clean break, at least, and for this she's thankful. It makes the potential treatment a great deal simpler..]

It is a clean break- very close to the joint, however. It needs to be set and bound so that it might heal properly.

[And she doesn't have any supplies for binding the wing on her at the moment. Not unless she wants to tear her shirt. Which she may very well have to do- getting this woman into a clinic would be impossible.]

Are you certain? The wings you are given upon your arrival in this place behave differently than they ought to- and most supernatural abilities are dampened by the barrier that surrounds the village. It may work- but it will take longer than normal. At least I think that it might.

...how long does it normally take? If, after that much time has passed and there has been no change, might I try setting it for you?

...I think. I would like to try binding your broken wing. That is a very long time to sleep- especially in this place, and a long time to be in such discomfort.
fleurdesel: left, sad, smile, serious (I just don't know)

It would prevent you from moving the wing until the bone has healed, yes. And without the aid of magic it could take anywhere from six weeks to ten depending upon the severity of the break. That is going by how long it takes a normal bone to heal over- I have honestly never treated one of these wings before.

By wrapping it after I've set it to immobilize the joint and the break- and possibly by extending the binding around your torso in two places to secure your wing to your back. It should not interfere with your ability to move your larger wings at all, but I would recommend being careful as to not jar it afterward.

I...do not have any bandages on hand. The nearest supply would be in the clinic.

[All she'd wanted was to be sure the woman wouldn't move. Once assured she ducks over to the clinic, fetches the requisite bandages, and ducks back out to the fountain.]

Madame?

[Adele blinks a bit at the improvement, but is glad for it. The less treatment this woman requires the better it will be. She holds up the bandages and nods to her back.]

If you would turn around for a moment that I might begin? And I must say ahead of time- setting the bone will hurt.

[Adele waits until the woman is ready. Until she's settled and braced for what she has to do. Then as quickly as she can Adele reaches out, finds the misaligned bone, and snaps it back into place.]

[The roar is a surprise, the water reacting? Even more so; but she has a job to do, and do it Adele shall. She's quick to bind the wing in place, splinting the break and wrapping bandages around the limb to help keep it still. She's slow and careful when it comes time to wrap the bandages around the woman's torso- she didn't want to spook her.]
