[When Xzana awoke the first thing she realized was that she was NOT in her lake as she should be. The new clothes didn't phase her as she was too busy trying to figure out what happened to all the water, then there was the discomfort to her back. Reaching back she found something was attached there! What was going on!?]

Who did this!? What sorcery is this!? Come out!

[Scared and confused Xzana does what she thinks is the smart choice and pulls. Wanting the offending thing OFF of her. At the sound of the snap the comes and the pain that quickly follows tell her right away what a bad idea it was. She snaps her head back in a roar.]

RWWRRRRRAAAARRRRH!

[The half breed dragon stumbles towards town. Her small Luceti broken wing dangling at an odd angle between her large pair. She growls under her breath as she searches for water, hoping to keep any creature who may find her an easy meal right now away, as she blindly stumbles her way around the edge of town.]

(OOC: Warning, as she's injured her flight or fight is on high alert. She WILL attack any character that just rushes up at her. Approaching her slowly will be fine, just know she'll bite if someone gets in her personal space too quickly. Also don't be afraid to break time and space in this post!)

I'll catch my own fish. [How easy will that be with a broken wing, she's not sure. However, it's bad to show weakness to anyone. This has been drilled into her head ever since hatching.]

Do you need bread and stuff, or just fish? 'Cause I can bring you some snacks when I visit if you want.

Fish is enough for me to survive. [But she can't help but to feel like she's starting to like this human child.

Yeah, but "enough to survive" doesn't mean you don't like other stuff, right? [ Ikki grins, as though she's figured out some secret code. ] I'll bring you some stuff from the bakery after my lunch every day! I go there with Chien and Soren, 'cause we practice things, and so it wouldn't be any trouble at all, and that way you get some different stuff!

I can eat some human food, but nothing with salt in it. [Normally she'd tell Ikki not to bother, but with a broken wing (even if it isn't HER wing) extra food isn't something she should look down too hard on.]

Okay! I'll be sure to bring nothing with salt! Are you allergic? [ Ikki will bring it, too. She'll add it to her ~daily schedule~, probably with some brief accounts of her days. 8| ]

It's when something makes you sick if you have it. There's food allergies, which you can't eat, and stuff that makes you allergic if you touch it, too. [ Ikki explains this as if it's normal not to know, since...it pretty much can be, depending on your world. ]

[Well, eating large amounts of salt does make her feel sick if she's not in water. So that must be what this kid means!] Yes. I'm all-er-gic.

I'll be extra careful, then! [ A pause, as she shifts on the ground. ] Hey, Xzana? What's your world like?

[She's quiet for a bit. After all she's having trouble believing she's on a different world and not just some part of her own she hasn't explored yet.]

Much like this. With forests, mountains, water, and little villages here and there. People there use magic too. [As she's already forgotten you called it bending.] But, for some reason it has been dying out among the humans. Less and less are able to use the gifts that the gods have given them so very long ago.

[ Ikki listens, and then nods, thoughtfully. ] The gods?

Those who created the earth and stars and all the creatures. The humans were having trouble surviving among all the creatures so much stronger than they were. So the gods of old blessed them with magic so that they could survive alongside those like my mother.

They sound a bit like the spirits! In my world there are really two worlds - the Spirit world and our world. My Grandpa, he's the bridge between the two worlds born as a person - the Avatar.

Avatar? [Yet another word she doesn't know.] There isn't two worlds where I live. Humans and spirits live together.

Yep! Y'know how I said I'm an airbender? [ Ikki doesn't demonstrate with air this time, but waves her hands. ] In my world, there are four types of benders. Air, like me - and earth, water, and fire. The Avatar is the only person who can use all four types of bending - everyone else uses one, or is born without - 'cause he or she is responsible for bringing balance to the world.

So, only one human in all your world can use more than one type of magic? Seems like your magic may be failing after all. [It's disappointing to hear. That there are multiple worlds that could have failing magic.]

No, that's how it's always been! See, my Grandpa was only one Avatar. Once he died, his spirit was reborn as the next Avatar, and she can access all his memories and wisdom. The spirit of the Avatar is always reborn anew, in the Avatar cycle. They're the ones who are supposed to keep the four nations balanced and in harmony.

And to deal with Spirit World things. [ Ikki shrugs. ] Bending isn't any weaker - if anything, I think people learn how to use it better as years go on, y'know? Like, when Grandpa was alive his friend, my Aunt Toph, figured out how to bend metal. No other earthbender had known how to do that, before her, and now a looooooooot of them do.

Hm, in my world many humans can use more than one kind of magic. Although there are fewer now with the magic dying out. So I suppose it's better that there are more people with one type of magic than none.

Really? And what about people like you, what kind of magic can you use?

I was born with a connection to the water. It is a part of me and therefore different than magic.

If something is a part of you and a connection, then I think my airbending is different from magic, too. 'Cause it's just there. You have to practice it, but if you have it, you have it.

Perhaps it is more like that then. I have just always been able to control the water around and within me. I tried to learn other magic once, but I didn't get far with it. [Translation: She didn't feel it was that important to use magic and gave up quickly.]

So you've always known how to bend water? That's really cool! My GranGran is a waterbender.

Yes, I have always had a connection with the water and some control over it.
