[When Xzana awoke the first thing she realized was that she was NOT in her lake as she should be. The new clothes didn't phase her as she was too busy trying to figure out what happened to all the water, then there was the discomfort to her back. Reaching back she found something was attached there! What was going on!?]

Who did this!? What sorcery is this!? Come out!

[Scared and confused Xzana does what she thinks is the smart choice and pulls. Wanting the offending thing OFF of her. At the sound of the snap the comes and the pain that quickly follows tell her right away what a bad idea it was. She snaps her head back in a roar.]

RWWRRRRRAAAARRRRH!

[The half breed dragon stumbles towards town. Her small Luceti broken wing dangling at an odd angle between her large pair. She growls under her breath as she searches for water, hoping to keep any creature who may find her an easy meal right now away, as she blindly stumbles her way around the edge of town.]

(OOC: Warning, as she's injured her flight or fight is on high alert. She WILL attack any character that just rushes up at her. Approaching her slowly will be fine, just know she'll bite if someone gets in her personal space too quickly. Also don't be afraid to break time and space in this post!)

[A pole - a weapon. Xzana takes a step back, raising her lips to show the row of fangs in her long mouth.] Where am I! How - [She weaves slightly, weak on her feet.] Where is water!?

[Souji sees that reaction and takes a step back and out into the open, carefully and slowly putting the pole down on the ground where this newcomer can see it. He steps away from it, hands raised.]

I'm sorry for startling you. There's a fountain in town and several lakes within walking distance of the village, but with your wing in that condition, you may want to get medical help first.

[Xzana watches carefully as Souji puts the pole down. A low grumbling growl in her throat she just can't help rumbles until it's down on the ground.]

A fountain? What's a fountain? [She gives her head a little shake, which causes her to stumble slightly.] The lake. Which way? Which way?

A fountain is a place where water springs and is gathered in a man-made shallow well.

[He almost goes toward her when he sees her stumble, but pauses, knowing she's still jumpy. Slowly, he takes his first step forward and motions to the south.]

It's that way, but it may be difficult for you to reach in your condition. We should look at your wing and at least splint it.

[She takes a quick step back as her wits return to her and she sees he has come closer.]

I'm fine! I'm not hurt!

[Alright, alright. He eases back a step again and motions slowly to the wings on her back.]

Your wing is broken. Without proper healing, it could cause you greater pain in the days to come. Your second set of wings determine your life here. Harming them or losing them can cause illness, pain or death.

They're not mine. [Just because they're attached to her body means nothing! She didn't ASK for them!] These false wings are fine. [She straightens slightly to try to hide the light headedness she feels. Trying to show just how strong and fit she really isn't at the moment.]

[Bravado. Yes, he knew that and knew the symptoms of seeing someone hide their illness and injury. Whoever this person was, she wasn't going to relax so soon and Souji sighed slightly under his breath as he lowered his hands, smiling.]

None of us ask for the wings. I know how unsettling it must be.

My name is Okita Souji. Could I ask your name? I'd like to help you, if you'll let me.

[She's quiet for some time. Trying to figure out if this human had some sort of trickery going on.]

My mother gave me the name Xzana.

[His smile becomes brighter and he bows.]

It is an honor to make your acquaintance, Xzana-san. Your name is very beautiful. It isn't like anything I've heard before.

[She watches him a moment. Releasing just a little bit of her tension as he bows.]

Thank you. You have an interesting name too.

This fountain, it is the closest place with water?

Thank you. And yes, the fountain would be the closest. I can lead you there if you wish.

Yes. Please. Show me this well.

Of course. [He bows again and steps aside, moving toward her slowly.] It's up the road here and in the middle of town.

[She allows him to come a little closer, but she moves aside before he can get within arms distance.] A town? How big? How are they towards dragons?

Luceti isn't that big of an enclosure. A few hundred residents and most of it is located in the town square and the surrounding housing buildings.

[He notices that she's edgy when he gets too close and tries to keep his distance. Close enough to catch her if she were to stumble and fall, but far enough out of arm's reach since that seems to be her comfort level. He motions her forward and starts to walk along the road that curves into town.]

And dragons? Mm~ We have all sorts of people, but I think they'd rather like to meet a dragon. Or have we had one? [He thinks, but can't remember and laughs lightly at his own memory.] I can't quite recall, but Luceti is open to anyone and everyone so you don't need to worry.

A few hundred?! [That makes her nervous. How is she suppose to defend herself against so many if she has to?] The lakes, they are a lot farther than the well?

I think so. Maybe a bit less, but most of the people here aren't anything to worry about.

[He turns over his shoulder and points down the road behind them.]

If you were to walk for awhile down that road through the houses toward the south, you could enter the forest and find the lakes.

But the closest is the fountain. [He looks forward again, pointing at the beginning of the town square up ahead.] It's in the middle of the town square.

[The forest. She understands the forest, it is more home to her than a village. She moves to head towards the forest, but stumbles. Damn it. Like this nearly anything could pick her off. She forces herself to stand straight again.]

Alright. Let's go this fountain.

[He almost moves to catch her, but she's back on her feet and standing as straight as possible, so he backs off. Pride is one of the few things left to them and for someone who is trying so hard to not ask for help, he won't push his on her.]

Alright. It's just a few minutes this way.

[He moves on, keeping a steady and slow pace, one hand on his left side as he goes.]

This place must seem so strange to you, having just arrived. Is there anything I can help explain?

This place. You said it's name is Luceti? I have not heard of this land before.

I'm not surprised. None of us know this place before we're brought here. Everyone you see is like you - foreign to these lands and trying to survive.

[He looks back at her and smiles faintly, tilting his head slightly.]

There is a barrier that traps us in, but over the mountains is an ocean and surrounding the village is a wide forest. Moro claims the woods as hers, but she is willing to share with other people so long as they are not human.

The forest belongs to no one. [The name Moro is not one she recognizes, although she'll probably eat those words once she realizes that she is a God.]

Who controls this barrier? Is it a demon? Are the humans here not strong enough to destroy it? Or does it have a clan?

[Normally she doesn't ask so many questions at once, but the talking helps. It gives her something to focus on rather than the pain and sickness she currently feels.]

That is what many of us think, but Moro doesn't like that. [They're approaching the town square and Souji has to take deeper breaths so he can keep talking and walking at the same time.] And not many people like to argue with a giant wolf goddess.

The barrier is controlled by those who brought us here and keep us here - the Malnosso. The world itself gives us these wings. Apparently it's a function of the original people here.

A goddess!? [In her shock she loses the careful balance she was trying to keep between talking and walking. She stumbles, falling to one knee.]

Please, do not let her know that I questioned her authority over the forest.

[Today had been going so well too before all this. She had a belly full of fish, was just about to take a nap, and now suddenly she's walking around feeling half dead and insulting Gods.

Ugh, and just thinking about those fish she ate before this... she covers her mouth with her hand.]
