She doesn't breath so there's no need to worry about drowning as the creature slowly emerges from it's hiding spot. As Mew scans Xzana, she does much the same. Still holding perfectly still, except for her large eyes looking the odd creature up and down.
The way it stays hidden. It reminds her of prey and she starts relaxing just a little bit because of it. Slowly, so very slowly to see how the creature will react, she takes a slow step forward in the water.]
