[When Xzana awoke the first thing she realized was that she was NOT in her lake as she should be. The new clothes didn't phase her as she was too busy trying to figure out what happened to all the water, then there was the discomfort to her back. Reaching back she found something was attached there! What was going on!?]

Who did this!? What sorcery is this!? Come out!

[Scared and confused Xzana does what she thinks is the smart choice and pulls. Wanting the offending thing OFF of her. At the sound of the snap the comes and the pain that quickly follows tell her right away what a bad idea it was. She snaps her head back in a roar.]

RWWRRRRRAAAARRRRH!

[The half breed dragon stumbles towards town. Her small Luceti broken wing dangling at an odd angle between her large pair. She growls under her breath as she searches for water, hoping to keep any creature who may find her an easy meal right now away, as she blindly stumbles her way around the edge of town.]

(OOC: Warning, as she's injured her flight or fight is on high alert. She WILL attack any character that just rushes up at her. Approaching her slowly will be fine, just know she'll bite if someone gets in her personal space too quickly. Also don't be afraid to break time and space in this post!)

[He almost moves to catch her, but she's back on her feet and standing as straight as possible, so he backs off. Pride is one of the few things left to them and for someone who is trying so hard to not ask for help, he won't push his on her.]

Alright. It's just a few minutes this way.

[He moves on, keeping a steady and slow pace, one hand on his left side as he goes.]

This place must seem so strange to you, having just arrived. Is there anything I can help explain?

This place. You said it's name is Luceti? I have not heard of this land before.

I'm not surprised. None of us know this place before we're brought here. Everyone you see is like you - foreign to these lands and trying to survive.

[He looks back at her and smiles faintly, tilting his head slightly.]

There is a barrier that traps us in, but over the mountains is an ocean and surrounding the village is a wide forest. Moro claims the woods as hers, but she is willing to share with other people so long as they are not human.

[His eyes narrow into a frown at that. Well at least she hasn't outright attacked him. He stops walking, but he doesn't step back.]

Is this your plan? To stumble around town with a broken wing? I'm not sure what you're telling yourself right now but you're far from fine.

I am strong! So stay back! [She spits out the word back, making sure her fangs snap shut to show just how strong they are. Yet she cannot fully hide the slight tremble as her legs struggle to keep her standing straight.]

The forest belongs to no one. [The name Moro is not one she recognizes, although she'll probably eat those words once she realizes that she is a God.]

Who controls this barrier? Is it a demon? Are the humans here not strong enough to destroy it? Or does it have a clan?

[Normally she doesn't ask so many questions at once, but the talking helps. It gives her something to focus on rather than the pain and sickness she currently feels.]

That is what many of us think, but Moro doesn't like that. [They're approaching the town square and Souji has to take deeper breaths so he can keep talking and walking at the same time.] And not many people like to argue with a giant wolf goddess.

The barrier is controlled by those who brought us here and keep us here - the Malnosso. The world itself gives us these wings. Apparently it's a function of the original people here.

[Adele lets the argument drop there. It makes sense for what she says to be true- but not much in this place makes sense. For now she sets it aside in favor of getting to the fountain.

They come up on the plaza soon enough. As Adele had said, there were not many villagers about- and the fountain itself was clear of any loiterers.]

A goddess!? [In her shock she loses the careful balance she was trying to keep between talking and walking. She stumbles, falling to one knee.]

Please, do not let her know that I questioned her authority over the forest.

[Today had been going so well too before all this. She had a belly full of fish, was just about to take a nap, and now suddenly she's walking around feeling half dead and insulting Gods.

Ugh, and just thinking about those fish she ate before this... she covers her mouth with her hand.]

[He turns and sees her fall to one knee, stepping forward to kneel down in front of her with a smile.]

Don't worry. It'll be our secret.

[He offers a hand to her if she'd like to take it so he can help her back up.]

Let's get you to the fountain. The faster you're feeling better, the faster your wing will heal, more likely.

[Xzana had braced herself as they moved deeper and deeper into the village. Trying to hold her arms towards her face with her claws out. Only she was rarely able to hold them up that high for very long.

Although a brief smile lights up on her haggard face as she looks into the water.] Thank you human. You have been true to your word.

[It's a bit smaller than what she was hoping for, but in an emergency like this it will do. She nearly collapses into it as she steps over the edge and into the water. She grabs on to keep herself from falling face first.]

[She stares at his hand for a moment. Hesitant and nervous, but finally reaches out with a slightly shaking hand.]

[He has no idea why she wants to go, or why she is nervous and asks about dragons, but what he does know is that it's scary waking up here alone and even scarier when one is hurt with no allies in sight.

He takes her hand and helps her to her feet, squeezing it gently.]

No need to thank me. You're getting me out of the house and away from boring chores, so thank you.

[He lets go and starts off toward the village square again.]

I wonder if the grocery has restocked its sweets. Do you like sweets, Xzana-san?

[Sweets... sweets... ah, like the cookies Casimir once gave her. They were interesting Ugh, right now they sound awful.] No. Water.

[She lets a bestial roar out before taking two steps of her own back.] I said stay BACK human. Do you not know what I am!? I will tear you apart if you come close!

No, I don't know what you are. But I DO know that you have a broken wing and that you need HELP.

Fine. If you won't listen to me then at least take a map of the village. There should be one in my backpack -- [Which is near that tree over there that he was sitting against.]-- if you promise not to run off as soon as I turn my back.

I have no need for a village. [Meaning, yes, she's totally going to run as soon as you turn your back.] Where is the nearest body of water?

[He stops and waits for her to catch up. He isn't sure how to lend her a shoulder if she needs it, but waits for her nevertheless.]

Will the water help you heal?

[He pinches at the bridge of his nose. This person. Is. So. Stubborn.]

I won't tell you, but if you're willing to follow me to it, I can show you. [Obviously they need more bonding time or something.]

[ Ikki frequently goes into the town proper, exploring within a safe confine - after notifying her family, and always with her journal on hand. Any sign of anything interesting in the least is promptly explored and examined, so when she hears someone stumbling nearby, she goes to see what's up.

She sees the winged lady, and blinks. ] Hey, your wings are big! [ She can't see the tiny pair from her vantage point or angle, so instead just tilts her head curiously from a little ways back, not sure what to make of this. ]

[Xzana jumps at the sound of a voice. Cursing herself for being so sick she hadn't noticed someone coming near her. She curls her lips back, wanting to show off all of her fangs and look as threatening as possible.]

[ Ikki looks more impressed than intimidated. ] Hey, your teeth are all sharp! Did you know that? They're all like - sharp and stuff!

[ It finally dawns on her that the woman seems troubled, and the little girl frowns. ] Are you okay, ma'am?

[A human child. Xzana doesn't want to hurt a child if she doesn't have to. She knows a mother's anger is not one you want to bring on yourself.]

Like, don't hurt your wings 'cause they're your life, and you don't need money for things, and your normal stuff is probably at the item shop. [ these are the main pointers Ikki has gathered in her short time here, and she's handed out that advice more than once. ]
